Ngā kōrero mō te tūranga – About the role

Join our team as a Project Manager and play a key role in shaping the future of our University. In this exciting position, you’ll lead capital and special projects, championing the University’s interests in cost, time, and quality. You’ll work closely with legal advisors, contractors, and consultants, overseeing every stage from planning and investigation to design, procurement, and delivery.

As part of the Campus Development team, you’ll also adopt the team’s initiatives across sustainability, space planning, infrastructure, financial management, and risk. If you’re passionate about building vibrant, future-ready campuses and making a lasting impact, we want to hear from you.

We will be interviewing as applications are received; however, no appointment will be made until the position has officially closed.

Salary will be in the range of $102,611 to $113,428 per year, based on skills, knowledge, and experience brought to the position. This is a full-time role (37.5 hours a week), based on our Hillcrest Campus.

You are a skilled Project Manager with at least two years of project coordination and project management experience, a construction background, strong IT systems knowledge, and proven stakeholder engagement skills. You will deliver projects on time and on budget, thrive in transformational or tertiary environments, and bring excellent communication and financial management abilities. Adaptable and solutions-focused, you are committed to quality, collaboration, continuous improvement, and upholding the University’s values and partnership with Māori under the Treaty of Waitangi.
