Nominations Are Now Open

Nominations are now open for the 2026 PMINZ Board of Directors. Serving on the PMINZ Board is an opportunity to help shape the future direction of the Chapter, contribute to the project management profession in Aotearoa New Zealand, and work alongside a passionate group of staff and volunteers committed to supporting our members.

There are three Board Member positions available in this year’s election. The roles are unpaid, voluntary positions.

To stand for election, you must be a current member of the PMI New Zealand Chapter at the time of nomination and remain a member if elected.

How to Submit Your Nomination

To submit your nomination:

  1. Download the 2026 Nomination Pack.
  2. Complete all required nomination documents. Include your supporting materials:
    – CV
    – Headshot
    – Candidate video
  3. Email your completed nomination documents and supporting materials to elections@pmi.nz by 5:00pm on 27 July 2026.

Following the close of nominations, nominees will be invited to attend an interview between 4-10 August 2026. Nominees will be advised by 10 August 2026 whether their nomination has been accepted and they will proceed as a candidate.

Elections and Nominating Committee Policy

To ensure a fair and transparent election process:

  • Only the Elections and Nominating Committee may distribute election materials.
  • Candidates must not undertake election campaigning or promote themselves through social media or other channels.
  • PMINZ and PMI resources must not be used to support or oppose any candidate.
  • Any potential breach of the election rules may be investigated by the Elections and Nominating Committee.

Elections and Nominating Committee

The Nominating Committee has been appointed by the PMINZ Board in accordance with the PMINZ Constitution. The Terms of Reference under which the Committee operates can be found in the Elections and Nominating Committee Policy, Section 4.0. The 2025 Nominating Committee members are Kam Connor, Syed Khurram Iqbal, Sayed Iqbal.
