Infrastructure Project Manager

What we’ll trust you with:

We are a Unitary Council and this offers a unique opportunity for you to have exposure to a very diverse portfolio of projects not available in other industries. Some of our recent projects include Richmond Water Treatment Plan, Pomona Water Reservoir, Motueka Library Upgrade and Borck Creek stormwater widening.

You will manage and deliver your assigned projects from business case briefs, management of design process, contract award through to the project completion. You’ll provide excellent relationship management and communication to people in the community.

What you’ll show us:

• A relevant qualification in Project Management or Civil Engineering.
• Your experience in delivery of large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Civil experience in water, stormwater and wastewater projects (preferred).
• An excellent understanding of budgeting for projects.
• A strong commitment to customer, stakeholder and public relationships.

Role Overview:

The Clutha District Council is seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager to join our Infrastructure Strategy and Delivery team. This role involves managing and supervising capital projects throughout the Clutha District, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, within budget, and to the required standard.

* Applications are also open to Project Managers with varying levels of experience; remuneration will be adjusted accordingly based on experience, skills and qualifications.

Key Requirements:

• Certified in Project/Programme Management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2)
• Experience with NZS3910/3916 standards
• NZDipEng (Civil) qualification or relevant tertiary level engineering
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software
• Ability to manage and deliver in an environment that could be high pressure and rapidly changing
• Current Full NZ Drivers Licence
