Context

Leader of all types are being challenged in significant ways as the effects of the global pandemic, VUCA world, and tech-based disruptors bite home. Consequently leadership in organisations is under the spotlight and needs to be effective and relevant for future organisational sustainability that is sensitive to stakeholder expectations. There are a myriad of promoted solutions being touted as ‘the solution’. However, success lies in being able to utilise a combination of principles, styles, and techniques – some old and proven, and others new yet authentic.

Iain will present his thoughts on the leadership role focus required for todays’ volatile world. His presentation shall use a combination of research data, anecdotal evidence and personal reflection on leadership and offer insights and a path towards the future.

As is usual with Iain’s presentations there will be some provocative statements that he hopes will ignite curiosity, fire passion, spark debate and explode myths!

Known throughout the world for using his head, heart, and gut to deliver inspiring and thought-provoking presentations. Iain Fraser truly is somebody who understands the need for organisational change towards entities that are focussed on value that’s underpinned by culture.

A former practitioner and CEO with over 30 years of experience from a variety of sectors, today he is an award-winning author, speaker, trainer, and professional director. He is author of the top-selling book ‘The Business of Portfolio Management – Boosting Organisational Value’ and of many other publications.

Iain is a long-time member of PMI and active both locally and globally. He is an active member of the Institute of Directors and sits on a number of boards. He is a proud Scot and a Kiwi who lives in Wellington. In his spare time he enjoys classic sports cars, fly-fishing, and the crafting of country/hiking sticks.
