Leaders In Project Delivery – An Insight into NZ PMOs – Now and Projected Future

In recent years, we have seen a number of organisations setting up PMOs (aka P3Os). The actual exercise has seen varying degrees of success with some organisations realising great benefits and some wondering whether this was a good idea in the first place. One way or the other, it is essential that organisations realise the length and breath of what PMOs can and cannot deliver. This would help in managing expectations, delegation of authority and benefits realisation. As leaders in project delivery, we are embroiled in endless discussion on how to set up PMOs for success and influencing other leaders within the organisation to do this right in the first instance.
Fortunately, we have managed to assemble a great panel of experts in PMO set up and delivery, with some having authored relevant frameworks, who will guide us on a discussion on the state of PMOs in New Zealand.

This is a highly interactive webinar you would not want to miss. If you need further convincing – have a look at the panellist line-up below:

Bushra Nur – PMO practice in the public sector (cross departmental collaboration, standardisation etc)Bushra Nur

The first PMO that provided me great insights into the type of PMO leader I wanted to become, was when I was an ICT project manager reporting into the PMO. The insights I gained were mainly the things NOT to do as a PMO leader. That was 9 years ago. I have managed PMOs, been part of PMOs/EPMOs and am now building a greenfield PMO. Bringing the best of my own experiences and insights from leading practitioners internationally, I’m continuously upgrading my knowledge to ensure that what I do as a PMO leader delivers value to the organisation and eliminate anything that doesn’t. My qualifications and experience can be found in my LinkedIn profile and I’m always keen to share and learn from the experiences and knowledge of other practitioners.
