Mentoring

Mentoring is one of the most effective ways to develop your project management capabilities. Through the PMINZ Mentoring Programme, members gain structured guidance, practical insights, and support from experienced project professionals across Aotearoa.

Our programme now operates through Mentorink, a digital platform that enables smart matching, easy communication, and flexible mentoring sessions — making the experience more accessible and efficient.

Benefits for Mentees

  • Gain expert guidance to support your career development
  • Learn from the experience of project professionals
  • Expand your professional network
  • Earn PDUs

Benefits for Mentors

  • Contribute to the development of emerging professionals
  • Strengthen leadership and mentoring skills
  • Build your professional network
  • Earn PDUs

How it works

Participants apply through the Mentorink platform, where profiles, goals, and experience support accurate matching. Sessions may occur online or in person, and participants can track goals, notes, and progress within the system.   A programme fee applies (NZ$300) for non members.

Our mentoring handbook can be found here.
