Kosam Nyamdela - MIML, MoP, PMP, MBusAn, MBA Strategic Planning
Responsible for leading the PMINZ Board in strategy and external relationships to meet the aims and objectives of PMI New Zealand.
Kosam is a project management professional and business leader. He has taken part in and led several successful large transformation projects and programs in broadcasting engineering, telecommunications and other business forms over more than 30 years. Kosam played a key role in leading technical teams and contractors in the analogue to digital TV broadcasting transformation in New Zealand and Australia. He holds an MBA - Strategic Planning from Heriot Watt University, Scotland and a Masters in Professional Business Analysis at Victoria University of Wellington. In all his years of experience, Kosam has successfully trained, coached and mentored tradespeople, technicians, engineers, project management professionals, students and executives in technical, business and leadership skills. As president and CEO of PMINZ, Kosam’s prerogative is to raise the project management professional profile and integrity in New Zealand and beyond.
Kosam is the founder of his own consultancy - Global Consultants Limited.
Responsible for board meeting agendas, the AGM and stands in for the President when required.

Bushra has an MBA (Hons) from Massey University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Computing Science & Information Systems as well as postgraduate qualifications in Computing Science. She has other qualifications in project and portfolio management. Bushra brings with her more than a decade of industry experience in the IT industry in a variety of leadership roles in the private and public sector.
Her interests lie in strategic portfolio management and linkage to organisational strategy, investment planning and benefits realisation. Coming from a technology and project management/PMO/EPMO background, Bushra strongly believes an organisation needs to be enabled to deliver major organisational changes and digital transformations - customer centricity being front of mind. A proven leader in building high performing teams and fostering a culture of excellence, Bushra views projects as vehicles for delivering business and organisational strategies.
Bushra’s vision is for project sponsors/benefit owners to actively champion their projects and support project managers to achieve successful project outcomes via successful benefits realisation.
Ian is new to PMINZ and is passionate about aligning the construction industry and PMINZ. Ian’s key objectives are to upskill the project management profession in the construction industry, increase awareness of the project management profession in the construction sector, and to increase the membership base for PMINZ.
Ian has a BEng from Canterbury University and has been a structural engineer, a contractor, and a project manager in the vertical construction sector over the last 30 years across Australasia and in the UK. He is the Southern Operations Manager for The Building Intelligence Group and enjoys delivering projects and programmes of work across the South Island. Ian is also a member of the Institute of Directors and enjoys the value and challenge that governance roles can provide.
In his spare time Ian loves spending time with family, volunteering in his neighbourhood and doing a bit of sailing around Lyttleton Harbour.
Responsible for ensuring effective branch operations throughout New Zealand.
Samantha was appointed to the board in 2019 in the role of VP National Operations supporting the PMINZ branch level operations. She is an Associate Member of Institute of Directors (NZ).
She became an active member of PMINZ in 2015 and obtained her PMP certification in 2016. She currently works for Fonterra Cooperative as a Technical Process Projects Manager. Project Management has been the core of her career for the last 10 years.
Responsible for all the fixed assets and financial records of PMI New Zealand.
Responsible for the Special Events portfolio, with the main event being the annual New Zealand National Conference.
Madalin has been the VP for Special Events for PMINZ since September 2020. He lives in Wellington and in his day job he is the Portfolio Lead Strategic Projects for the Open Polytechnic. He has held several business and technology leadership roles in various industries in New Zealand and in Europe, in the last 20 or so years. Madalin is passionate about building high performing teams and helping people reach the best version of themselves.
Outside work, Madalin and his wife have 2 great children and a dog who keep them busy and entertained. There are not many sports that Madalin does not enjoy following and he is a keen tennis and table tennis player and outdoors lover.
Responsible for policy review, the constitution review, and dispute resolution processes, ensuring alignment to PMI global as well as New Zealand legislation.
Nicola joined the PMINZ Board in September 2019. She is a Chartered member of the Institute of Directors and an active member of the Auckland PMO Forum. She has held senior project and technology leadership roles in large companies here and in the UK, and run her own small consulting company. Nicola is passionate about developing a positive high performing culture and supporting others to reach their potential. She is head of the University of Auckland’s Strategic Programme Office, an enterprise level PMO that supports portfolio definition, formation and delivery of programmes and projects formation, and benefit realisation.
Responsible for chapter membership and volunteer affairs and requirements
Kam has been the VP for Members and Volunteers for PMINZ since the start of 2020. He lives in Wellington and in his day job he is one of the Directors with Comspek Recruitment, where he has been for the last 14 years. He loves the Project Management community and fact that they are so easy to get along with and have an infectious positive outlook!
Out of work his 3 kids keep him busy, but he also loves heading to Brewtown for a quick drink and snap hooking drives out of bounds on the golf course. You may also get a laugh out of seeing him battle away on the Hutt motorway riding his bicycle to and from work in the gale force wind. What a life 😊
Responsible for creating professional development opportunities and ensuring that identified partners maintain delivery standards
Responsible for ensuring that PMINZ successfully delivers professional development opportunities through events of interest for the project management community.
Matthew has an MBA from Massey has qualifications in Dairy Technology, Mechanical Engineering and Project Management.
He has been a member of PMINZ for six years, has redeveloped the Mentoring Programme for PMINZ, and sponsored the 2019 Project Management Conference. He is strategically minded and technically competent with an intuitive and curious mind. He listens and responds to queries while keeping the main goal in focus.
Matthew wants to develop the profession of the chapter by enabling all project management practitioners to actively participate and encourage each other through volunteering, networking and increasing the value of the profession in all of society.
Vice President Marketing and Communications
Responsible for Creating and Implementing the Marketing and COmmunications Strategy for the Chapter
I am a certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and Agile Scrum master with over a decade of experience in business process improvement, operations and digital transformation in a range of industries in the Asia Pacific region.
I bring different perspectives to the table and helping others to take action with a compassionate approach to people and teams. As the Vice President of Marketing and Communications, I oversee the national strategy of the portfolio as well as contributing to initiatives that support the advancement of the profession in New Zealand.
Responsible for developing a strategy and implementing programs that form sustainable partnerships and yield mutual benefits for tertiary/higher educational institutions.
Donald Cruz has 17 years of project experience in the private sector and has wide variety of management experience in the banking, utilities and consultancy industries (both in New Zealand and in Asia-Pacific regions). He earned his degree in Master of Information Management from Victoria University of Wellington in 2016 where he graduated with distinction. Apart from his day job, he also worked part-time as a Teaching Fellow on Project Management for Victoria University of Wellington (Graduate Business School) where he led/facilitated classes for post-graduate students on Project Management.
Throughout his years in the industry, he has been active in volunteering on professional non-profit organizations like IIBA where he held a Board of Directorship role (Vice President). He has governed/managed nationwide programmes, projects, initiatives and engagements with the industry leaders to increase awareness on the importance of project structures and analysis skillset. He is consistently maintaining good standing status on all his professional certifications namely: PMP, MSP Practitioner, Prince2 Practitioner and CBAP. He is also actively mentoring young professionals in his free time specifically around project management, business analysis, change management and quality assurance. To balance it all off, he is working part time as a group fitness instructor and a yoga teacher.

Responsible for developing and implementing PMINZ IT strategy.
Tattianna is passionate about helping people and organisations to thrive! Tattianna's is an IT Engineer with experience in international consulting firms and different delivery roles. Her expertise is in topics related to: IT Strategy, Digital Transformation, Strategy and Planning, Business Improvement, BA, PMO Strategy and Delivery and Change. She led and facilitated many teams to achieve long term outcomes with an innovative and holistic perspective that brings collaboration, integration and direction.
Executive member of the board (non-voting)
Oversees PMI New Zealand’s operational and commercial activities, with a focus on improvements for organisational efficiency and sustainability.
Sharyn has more than 16 years at Senior Management level for Not for Profit Organisations. She has led international teams and is a sepcialist in remote working and volunteering. She is passionate about connecting teams and enabling them to work together to achieve a common goal. She has also implemented organisational change rolling out new systems to make the teams more efficient and improve the user expereince for staff, volunteers and clients.
